Media reports say at least 23 people have been diagnosed with the virus on the ship in the Pacific.
According to the report, Authorities have taken off the entire crew in quarantine on the coast.
Three soldiers were sent out of the ship a week ago after a virus test positive. This is the first case of the Coronavirus outbreak on a US Navy ship.
Naval Chief Operations Admiral Mike Gulde said in a statement Thursday that more positive cases of coronavirus have come out. However, their numbers were not specified.
His statement added that more than 5,000 soldiers aboard the naval warship would be tested. The ship is anchored in Guam according to the time program.
Admiral Gulde says no soldier was seriously ill and no one was required to be hospitalized.
The Navy’s secretary, Thomas Moldy, reported at least 23 soldiers were infected with the Coronavirus, the Wall Street Journal reported. Now 100% of the soldiers will be tested carefully.
He added that no outsider would be allowed to enter the ship during the anchorage at the port of the military center.
A joint statement issued Thursday by the Indo-Pacific Command in Hawaii said that joint military exercises in the Philippines, the United States, the Philippines, and Australia, were to be attended by thousands of soldiers. Coronavirus has been canceled in view of concerns.
