Google executive resigns from Google for Pakistan. Google’s top Pakistani executive, Tania Aidrus stepped down from her tech giant position to lead the Digital Pakistan initiative of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
She came from Singapore to the country to give her support to the digitalization system of the country.
This evening, Prime Minister Khan will introduce the Digital Pakistan initiative.
The inauguration ceremony will take place at Islamabad’s Prime Minister’s Office. Under the program, instead of paper, correspondence between departments of government will be done through digital channels.
The prime minister assigned to the Federal Ministry of Information and Technology in August the responsibility of designing the system. It completed the project within the three-month period specified.
