Lawyers storm attacks Institute of Cardiology. Under mysterious circumstances, a group of lawyers stormed the Punjab Cardiology Institute (PIC) emergency ward on Wednesday as police officers deployed at the hospital stood up and let the black coat mob enter the health facility, Geo News reported.

Police officers dressed in riot gear were rendered helpless as a crowd of lawyers in videos posted on the incident’s social media, outnumbering the law enforcement personnel, smashing the PIC’s entry.

As a result of the confusion and fear that erupted within the facility as the lawyers burst into the house, a woman passed away at the hospital’s emergency ward. The explanation of why the group of lawyers stormed the cardiology hospital was not immediately clear.

Hospital reports suggested that the lawyers smashed the emergency ward doors and destroyed the hospital parked cars. According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Geo News, there were claims of multiple injuries to people as well.

Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hasan Chohan, who arrived at the hospital, was treated by lawyers who cut his hair and clothes.

It was possible to see the provincial minister escorted from the hospital.

“They’ve been trying to kidnap me,” Chohan said in a statement. “I have come to deal with the situation and they have started to harass me.” He added that a first report of information (FIR) will be reported against those responsible.

The incident was notified by Prime Minister Imran Khan and ordered Punjab Chief Secretary and Inspector General Punjab to report the incident.

Under provincial law minister Raja Basharat, Punjab’s chief minister, Usman Buzdar, ordered the establishment of an investigative committee at the hospital.

The panel also comprises Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid, IG Police, and additional Chief Interior Secretary.

The committee will investigate the incident and will present the report to the chief minister.

The chief minister of Punjab said that no one was above the law and that action against those responsible for the incident will be taken today.
