MQM-P rejects Bilawal’s offer to Sindh govt. On Monday Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s offer to leave the federal government to join the government of his party in Sindh, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan rejected.
“In Karachi’s interest we formed an alliance with the federal government, not for ministries,” a spokesman for MQM-P said in a statement.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, requested the MQM-P earlier that day to help him overthrow the PTI government.
“Help us save Karachi and overthrow the PTI administration,” he said Monday afternoon as he addressed a ceremony.
The PPP will be 100 percent with you, Bilawal told the members of the MQM-P. The number of seats you were given in the south, he said, we’re going to give you those in Sindh.
“Help us get back the proper share of Sindh,” said the chairman of the PPP.
In its statement, the MQM-P asked Bilawal to reinforce the province’s local governments rather than offering Sindh cabinet ministries.
The party spokesman said the MQM-P was not satisfied with the performance of the federal government, but it would not leave the alliance to the wish of anyone. News report on MQM-P rejects Bilawal’s offer to Sindh govt.
