Netflix new subscribers rise by 15 million due to lockdown. Different countries of the world have locked down to prevent the global epidemic Corona and meanwhile, people have increased their use of social media due to being confined to their homes.

According to the technology website The Verge, the lockdown saw an increase of 15 million new Netflix subscribers, the best record ever.
A quarterly report issued by the Netflix company said that due to corona, a video streaming platform’s subscribers have increased to 15 million, after which the number of subscribers has increased to 183 million.
The company says it added 9.6 million new subscribers last year, after which analysts predicted that it would increase to 8 million next year, while an increase of 15 million is unexpected.
According to the company, it has earned up to 709 million this year as against 344 million in the same period last year.
Netflix executive Reed Hastings statement
company executive Reed Hastings says the number of memberships in the first two months was the same as last year, but as the lockdown in various countries began in March, there was a sharp increase in new subscribers.
Despite the increase in new subscribers, video streaming platform executives said that it is possible that when the situation improves, the membership will fall in the next quarter as the lockdown will end.
And people will go back to their routines and then it will be seen how much people are using it after the situation returns to normal.
