According to the details, the lawmakers in Turkey are likely to introduce a “my-ever-rapist” (if rap should marry) bill.
Critics say the aforementioned legislation equates to legalizing child marriage and rap in the country.
According to foreign media, a bill is set to be introduced in the Turkish parliament, which will allow a minor to be married to a girl under the age of 18 to escape punishment.
The bill is expected to be tabled by Turkish lawmakers in late January.
The bill, however, has raised concerns among women working for women’s rights in the country.
